Ashley Barrett

Managing Director

With over 12 years of experience designing and selling high-quality Australian-made sheds, Ashley keeps the process practical, clear, and focused on the right building for each site.

True Blue Sheds supplies Gympie and surrounding Queensland areas with Australian-made steel-frame sheds, carports, barns, garages, and farm buildings. Each building can be customised to suit residential, commercial, and rural properties.

Our sheds are designed around your location, intended use, wind region, and site conditions. If our standard catalogue options do not match your needs, our team can help shape a practical custom design using our 3D shed design process.

As a ShedSafe accredited supplier, we use Australian BlueScope steel with trusted COLORBOND and ZINCALUME cladding options, backed by engineering documentation and practical support through the quoting process.

Building in Gympie: what to think about

Gympie and the Mary River have a long history, and 2022 added a chapter - so flood mapping is the first conversation for any block near the river or its creeks, and Gympie Regional Council's flood levels should set your slab height before any layout gets drawn. Away from the water the country turns hilly fast, which makes cut-and-fill footings a routine part of the engineering here. The 1,006 mm of subtropical rain and B1 storm rating (57 m/s regional gust) are standard Wide Bay conditions. Timber country heritage shows in the orders: machinery sheds, workshops and high-clearance storage, with boat sheds toward Tin Can Bay.
