What is a garaport?
A garaport is simply a garage and carport combined in one structure. You get an enclosed area for secure storage plus an attached open bay for extra parking or entertaining.
Do we offer garaport shed kits?
True Blue Sheds has an extensive array of customisable kits for private and commercial properties. Each kit includes our pre-engineered BlueScope® steel frame, cladding, fasteners, and user-friendly instructions. You can build yours DIY or we can recommend local experts for a seamless build.
What is included in each kit?
Your kit comes with all major steel components (columns, rafters, purlins), COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME® cladding, and fixings like screws and brackets. We can also supply engineering documentation for any required council approvals.
How much does it cost to build a Garaport?
Because there are so many sizes and layouts, it’s best to let us give you a tailored quote. Share your dimensions, roof style, and any extras (like insulation or roller doors), and we’ll quote you accurate prices completely free.
Do I need Council Approval when building a Garaport?
In most areas, yes. Different councils have varying height and setback rules. Our site-specific engineering simplifies your approval process—contact our team and we’ll help you get started.
What’s the most common sized garaport?
Many customers choose a 6m x 12m build which essentially splits the design in half: 6×6 for secure garage space and 6×6 as an open carport. This layout comfortably fits two vehicles or a vehicle plus a boat.
