Frequently Asked Questions

All of our sheds, barns and carports come with a standard 10 Year BlueScope Steel manufacturer’s warranty on portal frames and up to 15 years on Zincalume and Colorbond Sheeting. You can read more about BlueScope’s warranty conditions HERE.

The best way to get a quote is to drop into our showroom for a coffee so we can design your shed in 3D on our big screen. We’ll go over your site conditions, the final use of the building and your choice of optional extras. Unlike many other shed suppliers, we’ll give you an all-inclusive price on the spot. You’ll know exactly what your final costs will be before you leave.  Our state-of-the-art quoting software allows us to customise any building to your exact requirements, regardless of the size and style.

If you can’t make it to see us in person, you can also use the Request a Quote page

In most cases, you won’t need to pay anything more than the quote we give you as it includes all of the components required to build your shed, plus and delivery fees. If you’d like us to manage parts of the process like, erecting your shed or laying a concrete slab, include that too.

Note that we only calculate our shed rainwater connections (i.e. gutters and downpipes) to ground level in our standard quotes. If you need additional drainage or a stormwater or tank connection, we’d need to add that to the price. We also assume that the shed is built on a level site and that you don’t need further earthworks.

Most circumstances require you to have Council approval for your shed. After you pay your deposit, we provide you with watermarked engineering plans, slab and footing engineering drawings, a slab layout diagram and a wind load certificate to assist you to make your Council application.  Each Council has different lead times, and the approval process can take up to 8 weeks.

It usually takes us 3 to 4 weeks to manufacture and deliver all the componentry for your shed to the building site.  If you need council approval, you can request that we don’t order your shed until you receive it.

It is possible to build it yourself, depending on a few factors. When you purchase a shed from us, we provide a detailed construction guide to assist you in assembling it.  However, it’s imperative that your shed be constructed using the proper tools and building techniques. Larger sheds may require specialist heavy lifting machinery such as cranes to erect the frame. If you need help with organising and or all of the project, just ask, and we can assist. Discuss your options with us when you come in for a quote.

You can pay for your shed with direct deposit, credit card or cheque.
