True Blue Sheds Questions
Who is True Blue Sheds?

Are your sheds ShedSafe accredited?
Yes, all True Blue Sheds structures are ShedSafe accredited, ensuring our designs meet stringent Australian safety standards. Quotes and Pricing
How do I get a quote or price for a shed?
We offer several convenient options for obtaining a quote:
- The quickest way to get a quote is to fill out a written quote request; our design team will endeavour to get a quote back to you within 24 hours.
- Use our online shed designer and design templates to custom-design your dream shed.
- Use our shed designer apps available on Google and Apple app stores.
- Call our sales team: 1300 445 889 (If busy with other customers, please leave a message)
What is included in a standard quote?
Our standard quotes typically cover:
- All materials required for the construction of the building only
- 3D building layout and building dimensions
- Basic slab and pier details to allow you to price a slab
- Delivery to your site (within our standard delivery zones)
- Construction manual for DIY assembly
Are there any potential extra costs?
In most cases, the quoted price for the shed is final once the design is finalised. However, additional costs may apply for services such as shed erection, laying a concrete slab, plumbing and council fees.
Do you offer finance options?
No, we don’t offer financing. We find that most of our clients will use their existing home loan facility if needed, as adding a new shed adds value to their homes.
Council Approval
Do I require council approval for my shed?
In nearly all cases, some form of council approval is required for shed construction in Australia. Regulations can vary depending on your state and local council, with many having exemptions for certain sizes and uses. We strongly recommend speaking directly with your local council and seeing what applies to your property.
Can True Blue Sheds help with the council approval process?
We supply you with signed engineering plans and local certificates for your class 10a building and slab plan if it is a standard soil type. If your soil type is problematic, then it may require a custom slab design.
Can I order my shed before receiving council approval?
Yes, many people, once they have received planning approval, will order their building while waiting for final building and plumbing approval. We recommend speaking to all parties involved before ordering your building.
Construction and Install
Can I build my own shed?
Yes, many of our clients across Australia construct their sheds! We provide a detailed construction guide, BOM and engineering with every purchase. However, having some building knowledge and being good on the tools is recommended. Keep in mind that larger sheds may require specialist machinery like cranes or scissor lifts to install them correctly.
How long will it take to manufacture and deliver my shed?
It usually takes 4 to 7 weeks to manufacture and deliver the shed components to your property after the invoice is paid. As we deliver Australia-wide, this timeline will vary from location to location, so please check with us at order time. Please note that glass windows and doors are sent directly to your site address via courier.
Does True Blue Sheds offer installation services?
We do not have our own install teams, but we can generally point you to a qualified installer in most areas of Australia, or you can try the Shed Builder website to find a local installer.
How do I prepare my site for delivery?
Most sheds are delivered to the site on a flatbed truck or semi with an inbuilt Hiab crane that unloads the shed. Please note that these trucks need room to extend stability arms from the truck when unloading the bundles. If the driver determines that he does not have enough room to safely unload the shed, it will be left in a suitable and safe location.
Payment and Ordering
What payment methods do you accept?
We only accept payments via EFT (Bank Transfer)
What is the deposit requirement?
If council approval is required, a 10% deposit is needed to release engineering plans. If 50% is paid, we will release engineering and begin manufacturing. Please note that only paying 10% for engineering does not lock in the price from any future price rises. Only once 50% is received, and we begin manufacturing will the price be exempt from price rises.
What is the ordering process?
Once you are satisfied with the final design and colours, we will request that you sign the quote and return it. At this time, we will send you an invoice containing the building price and payment details.
Warranty and Maintenance
What warranty comes with True Blue Sheds?
All of our sheds, garages and steel buildings come with a standard BlueScope Steel manufacturer’s warranty, offering up to 15 years on Zincalume® and Colorbond® sheeting and a 10-year warranty on portal frames. You can find more details on BlueScope’s warranty conditions on our website.
